Grandma and Grandpa came in for Easter and helped Gavin through his third easter egg hunt, this time was in our backyard on easter. Gavin had it down pretty good by then...

Going for a spin

Our neighbors, Scott and Merret and their kids Cricket and Charlie were over for playtime on a nice day this spring and Gavin wanted to join in on the spinning that Scott was giving his kids. Fun was had by all...

Where's the Ball?.... I mean Car!

Gavin and I have been going to Scott's soccer games on Sunday's (more afternoon games lately). Since Gavin really isn't in to "sitting still" these days - we walk all around, watching the soccer ball, trying to find Daddy... and then, the highlight of going to Daddy's game - playing with the video games.

The Car is definitely Gavin's favorite... I think it may be a little while before he can reach that pedal - what do you think?

Valentine's Day - making cards

So this year in preparation for Valentine's Day - I pulled out Gavin's new markers and Daddy/Gavin made V-day cards for his friends and family members. Needless to say, Gavin wasn't all that into it - good idea - but Daddy helped execute at the end... with a little help from Gavin. Since then though - Gavin really enjoys using crayons - color for a little bit and then tries to eat them - it is always a highlight when we go out to eat at restaurants and they offer them to us - and they just always keep going in his mouth.... can't imagine they taste very good?!?!?!

Easter Egg Hunt

We headed to the annual Mariemont Easter Egg Hunt in March. Gavin was very excited to collect all the "balls" (i.e. eggs) and put them in his basket. And - was pretty fond of the bunny too - here were some photos from last year - clearly, a little different this year.)

They also had animals from the farm - a little lamb was Gavin's favorite. He kept following it around and saying "ba" - it was like he was talking to the little lamb (didn't get a picture of that as I was holding onto Gavin so he didn't put his entire hand in the lamb's mouth). One of these year's we hopefully will get nice weather at the Easter Egg Hunt... but at least no rain.

Oh Where, Oh Where, Have the Gillards Been?

We are back - not sure where the past 2 months have gone - but I guess we have been busy as usual. Gavin is doing great - getting bigger and talking more and more each day. He seems to be quite the little "social" butterfly.... and definitely into wandering/checking everything out. He is officially on the move - (can I say "running" - YIKES?!?!?!)

Cousin Ty, Aunt Heather & Uncle Tom came for a visit in Cinci in February. The boys love spending time together... this was actually on Valentine's Day.

At the Children's Museum in Cinci - love playing with cars & trucks.

Ella & Gavin went to the zoo with their Daddy's - while Janet/Stacy had a girl's weekend in Indianapolis.
