Gavin's 1st concert

Thanks to Greta - we found out about this great band, Justin Roberts that performed in Cincinnati over the weekend. So - we all headed to the concert with our friends... again, another milestone of parenthood when you are hanging out at 11 a.m. on a Saturday with all these parents and their kids... pretty funny.

Winter Day

"OK - that was pretty fun - I like playing in the snow"... Daddy was so happy that Gavin loved the snow (Mommy is ready to head to Florida...BUT loved watching Gavin in the snow for the first time).

We had to of course have Gavin try eating snow... he really didn't know what to think of it....

SNOW - SNOW - and MORE SNOW

So after getting LOTS more snow in Cincinnati, we had to take Gavin out in his new sled he got from Grandma & Grandpa Cross (earlier this week; as the snow has melted now) - and he sure liked going down the hill and Daddy pulling him. We were only outside for a little bit - as it was pretty cold - but it was fun watching him be in this little sled...

Super Bowl Party - Nawroth Style

We had a great time watching the Super Bowl - or watching the game AFTER the kids went to bed. Gavin had so much fun hanging out with lots of his friends - and thanks to the Nawroth's for hosting the party again this year.

Playdate with my friends - and their Dads

So - the 1st playdate with all the kids and the "Dads." All the mommies had a baby shower for Meg and their new little girl arriving very soon (the kids can't wait to have another friend).

Visit to Illinois

We headed to Illinois to my parents house (G&G Cross) as Scott/I had a wedding in St. Louis. So Gavin got to spend time with Grandma & Grandpa Cross - even got to attend another ISU BB game.... then we stayed for a few days before heading back home.

Gavin was trying to "wake up" Uncle Ryan from his nap.

It was great to be in IL and we had a great time during our visit and tried to stay warm - it was VERY cold!!!!

Uncle Ryan & Amy Come to Visit

So - where have the Gillards been this past month? Well the holidays came and went - then New Year's and now - well it is February. But what we were doing in January.... well, right after the 1st of the year, Uncle Ryan (Stacy's brother) and his girlfriend, Amy came to Cinci for a fun weekend trip. We had a great time - from eating Mexican food at Nada (so LOVE IT), to playing around the house, then out with adult's-only for a hockey game and college bars at Miami/OH and then some yummy pizza and a movie - it was the perfect weekend! Thanks for making the trip - Gavin of course loves spending time with you both! See you in a few weeks in FLORIDA - YEAH, warm weather!
